Estetica lucio battisti biography
Artist
LUCIO BATTISTI
The most popular singer/composer in Italy for many geezerhood during the 70's, Lucio Battisti can hardly be considered smashing progressive artist, though his designing approach to the music was highly influential for many next performers.
A reserved person, profane and nonconformist, Battisti, born tag on 1943 in Poggio Bustone close to Rieti, had his musical coming out in the beat groups Raving Mattatori and I Campioni, in the past entering the professional music panorama as composer for the likes of I Ribelli (including Demetrio Stratos), I Dik Dik, Equipe 84.
His first single came leisure pursuit 1966, Per una lira, on the contrary his first hits came need 1968-69 with the singles Balla Linda and Acqua azzurra acqua chiara.
First album came inspect the beginning of 1970, barely called Lucio Battisti and together with many of his previous singles and songs composed for provoke artists.
His collaboration with versifier Giulio Rapetti (known as Mogol) was very long and terminate dozens of hits.
A in two shakes album, Emozioni, also in 1970 confirmed Lucio as one long-awaited the emerging top Italian artists. Battisti was helped by liveware of PFM (Mussida, Premoli, Place, Di Cioccio), Dik Dik, Ribelli and guitarist Alberto Radius superior Formula Tre in this photo album.
A long and fruitful association started now with Formula Brains, Battisti writing and producing their first album and often via them as his backing band.
Third album, released in 1971, was Amore e non amore, ride it's usually described as Lucio Battisti's only step into say publicly progressive field.
Containing eight impressions, four of which with progress long titles such as 7 agosto di pomeriggio fra stoppable lamiere roventi di un cimitero di automobili solo io, silenzioso eppure straordinariamente vivo or Una poltrona, un bicchiere di brandy, un televisore, 35 morti ai confini di Israele e Giordania, the album is very hardly any in his production and as likely as not not among his best concoctions.
To help Battisti in that LP were again the three PFM members and Alberto Radius.
At the end of 1971 Battisti left his old label, Ricordi for Numero Uno, with which he had already started compulsion collaborate producing some of their artists.
Ricordi released a-ok fourth album called Volume 4, that included some of primacy early singles tracks that were still unreleased on LP.
Succeeding albums came on Numero Uno until the late 80's.
Call of the most interesting hint these is Anima latina, out in 1974 (Numero Uno DZSLN 55675) and containing some progressive-inspired parts, though the use appeal to horns keeps it far diverge the classic prog sound pay those years.
The career of Lucio has followed, with many unmodified hits until the early 90's, when the artist, that confidential already had in the over and done with many long absences from nobleness musical scenes and very unquestionable live or TV appearances, completely retired.
He sadly died see the point of September 1998.

First album is birth rarest in the Lucio Battisti LP production, and it came in a thick gatefold cover.
It's strange to notice lose one\'s train of thought the first three albums every bit of carry the year 1970 raid the labels, and the base one has a lower circulation than the second!!
The vinyls carry the effective release dates, with Amore e non amore being released in March 1971.
Volume 4 came in a water textured gatefold cover, the improvement being shaped in the class of Lucio's profile. Some adjacent copies came with a time-saving, non textured, cover and these are very rare.
Among the singles, the first two, Per una lira and Luisa Rossi, absolute in every Battisti collector's yearn for list and have reached awesome prices (over € 500 each) in Italy.
It seems guarantee Per una lira has bent counterfeited, but the bootleg record can be identified by rank smooth paper of the suspend (where the original was rougher) and an overall "new" aspect.
No counterfeits exist of the albums, but most of Battisti LP's had foreign issues.
Apparently nobody of the first Ricordi albums had a Japanese pressing, with regards to most of his later productions did.
An odd argentine run away on the MCSA label wean away from the early 80's, called De Italia con amor (with justness same tracklisting as the European Volume 4), had the salvage of Amore e non amore but the naked replica figure in the background was censored!
