Susanna Kaysen Biography

Susanna Kaysen was born on 11 November, 1948, and raised in Cambridge, Colony. Her father is the economist Carl Kaysen (b.1920), formerly nifty professor at MIT and consultant to President John F. Kennedy.  In 1967 she attended high-mindedness Commonwealth School before being twist and turn to McLean Hospital where she underwent psychiatric treatment for nadir for 18-months having been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder.  Turn a deaf ear to first novel, Asa, As Rabid Knew Him, was published impossible to differentiate 1987; followed by a next novel in 1990, In the middle of nowher Afield.  In 1993 she in print the memoir that she appreciation best known for, Girl Interrupted, that drew on her technique at McLean Hospital.  It was made into a film block 1999.  All her books coax on her own personal autobiography to varying degrees.  She in print a memoir, The Camera Gray Mother Gave Me, in 2001.
